Help us support Asheville’s creative community as they recover from the devastation of Hurricane Helene. Your donation will provide crucial financial assistance to artists, musicians, and local businesses who have been deeply impacted. Together, we can help Asheville’s heart and soul thrive once more.

Who We Are

We fell in love with Asheville more than a decade ago and are proud to call it our home. We were drawn to its welcoming people, relaxing atmosphere, gorgeous mountains, and incredible creative community.

This community includes independent restaurants, beautiful galleries, intimate artist studios, and a dynamic music scene. This creative community draws friends and families together, inspiring us with art and filling our souls with music.

We recognize that the creative community is what makes Asheville special. They have given so much of themselves and have enriched our lives. Now, we want to give back.

We Need Your Help

The devastation from Hurricane Helene in the Asheville area is heartbreaking. The loss of life is incomprehensible, and many in our community have lost everything.

Children missed more than a month of school. Homes and businesses were without power, water, and internet for weeks. Even six weeks after the hurricane, potable water is still unavailable to most of the area.

For the creatives in our community, the situation is dire. Much of The River Arts District, home to hundreds of artists, was completely flooded.

The devastation has sent shockwaves through the community. Businesses have shuttered, and years of hard work have literally washed away.

Fall is peak tourist season in our town. These creatives depend on the flow of tourism to support them, but now, most of this revenue is lost.

The wonderful creatives in Asheville are scrappy, resilient folks, but they have been pushed to their limits. Many of these businesses are on the brink of failure. We want to help as many members of this community as we can—from restaurants and food trucks to galleries, independent artists, musicians, and the venues that host them. Every member of this community is special and vital to the fabric of Asheville.

We founded Asheville Creative Recovery to support these creatives, their businesses, and every single one of their staff members.
